DMC will be attending the Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) 2013 Executive Conference from May 1 - 4. The annual CSIA conference provides certified control system integrators from around the world a unique opportunity to share industry expertise. Held this year in St. Petersburg, Florida, the event's 2013 theme is "Stay on the Ball."

As the only CSIA certified control systems integrator in Chicago, DMC is excited to meet and share ideas with other integrators who are committed to advancing this industry. In order to become CSIA certified, integrators must demonstrate their utilization of good business and management techniques in addition to technical knowledge. The comprehensive certification process proves to potential customers that a CSIA certified integrator employs the industry’s best practices.

The CSIA Best Practices and Benchmarks manual contains 300 useful guidelines for operating as a successful control systems integrator. In order for an integrator to achieve certification, an auditor examines evidence of the implementation of 76 of these best practices. DMC has successfully used SharePoint wiki libraries as its primary tool to easily organize and share documented best practices with CSIA auditors and DMC employees. Over the last few years, DMC has helped many other CSIA members design and implement their SharePoint portals in order to earn their CSIA certifications as well.  Integrators must be audited every three years to maintain certification.
