Curtis graduated Summa Cum Laude from DePaul University, where he majored in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Engineering. He minored in Network Technologies. At DePaul, he played for the Men's Soccer team in the Big East Conference all four years. Curtis was born in Ontario Canada, but grew up in New Milford, Connecticut. He enjoys hiking, eating pizza, Game of Thrones, going to the Lincoln Park Zoo, and listening to electronic music.
