DMC Achieves Microsoft Partner Gold Status for SharePoint Expertise

DMC is excited to announce the achievement of Gold status within the SharePoint Portals and Collaboration competency of Microsoft’s new partner program.

The criteria for earning Gold status in the new Microsoft Partner Network is far more stringent and promises to better represent organizations who have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment within specific technical and business solution areas.

Although Microsoft partners have up to 12 months to meet the new criteria, DMC achieved Gold status in the new program within the first 60 days of the program’s launch.

While DMC has consistently maintained a gold level partnership with Microsoft for more than seven years, the November 2010 restructuring of the partner program significantly increased requirements in several areas.  To earn the new Portals and Collaboration Gold level status, DMC was required to:

  • Certify twice as many developers in the advanced MCPD SharePoint Developer 2010 certification
  • Provide customer evidence of the successful completion of nearly twice as many SharePoint projects
  • Meet rigorous requirements demonstrating exemplary customer satisfaction
  • Achieve an all new Sales and Marketing requirement to have multiple team members pass competency exams related to the marketing, licensing, and sale of Microsoft solutions

Rick Rietz, DMC Director of Consulting Services, is thrilled with this achievement.  “I think the new Microsoft Partner Network will create a new level of differentiation among Microsoft partners.  DMC had to invest a significant number of hours achieving the new Gold level status, but it will be a WIN-WIN for DMC and our clients.  The Gold partner status has new meaning and will provide assurance to our clients that their SharePoint solutions will be implemented by experienced professionals who have proven experience with the relevant Microsoft technologies.”

The Portals and Collaboration competency differentiates DMC as having the skills and proven experience in meeting team and organizational collaboration and connectivity needs across intranets, extranets, and the Internet.  Each certified developer has also proven their ability to design custom code for projects that are deployed to SharePoint servers.  This includes technology and architecture selection across the many ways to build solutions in SharePoint, ensuring the team development environment is configured properly, as well as creating a strategy for code deployment, versioning, configuration, and structure.
