DMC Test Systems Engineers provide test & measurement solutions to a wide range of clients through programming and trouble shooting. Adapting quickly to innovative technologies and absorbing specific industry knowledge, they provide custom software engineering, problem solving, and guidance throughout all phases of projects. Working both independently and in teams, Test Systems Engineers contribute to project management, technical sales, timely deliverables, while being excellent communicators internally and externally.

Responsibilities
Everything under Engineering Level II is in addition to Engineering Level I. 

Engineer Level I (0-3 years relevant experience)

  • Programs applications to meet & exceed customer requirements 
  • Develops robust applications aligned with DMC programming standards & best practices 
  • Project planning/system architecture design assistance 
  • Program implementation and documentation  
  • Debugging and system Testing 
  • Collaborate with project and customer teams to define scope and timeline 

Engineer Level II (3-5 years relevant experience)

  • Performs programming and engineering tasks in supportive/leading roles at all stages of projects 
  • Mentors and technically advises new team members 
  • Communicates deliverables to customers using multimodalities (calling, emailing, etc.)   
  • Develops & maintains relationships with vendors and clients to ensure repeat business and seek new business opportunities  
  • Assists in writing project proposals and estimates 

Requirements
Everything under Engineering Level II is in addition to Engineering Level I. 

Engineer Level I (0-3 years relevant experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.4 
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship 
  • Experience in LabVIEW programming (additional background with NI software platforms is a plus) 
  • Quickly learns new technologies 
  • Ability to follow patterns & build upon established models 
  • Understands complex system designs 
  • Ability to manage time amongst multiple projects 
  • Strong written/oral communication and technical writing skills 

Engineer Level II (3-5 years relevant experience)

  • Experience with design and implementation of LabVIEW projects 
  • Certified LabVIEW Developer or Certified LabVIEW Architect 
  • Project-based development and customer service experience 
  • Experience with current test and measurement, data acquisition hardware and devices 
  • Ability to specify correct hardware based on system requirements 
  • Project planning/system architecture design 
  • Program implementation and documentation 
  • Debugging and system testing 
  • Ability to design systems based upon previously used system 
  • Experience presenting to clients 

Compensation

Starting compensation is based on industry and location standards. 

  • Engineer Level I (0-3 years relevant experience): $80,000 - $95,000 
  • Engineer Level II (3-5+ years relevant experience): $95,000 - $110,000 
  • Over 5 years of experience: Apply to our Senior Engineer role
