DMC's client wanted to remove the burden of supporting their on-premise Exchange server internally. DMC's consulting services team completed the migration of 27 mailboxes in just one week. As a result, the client no longer had to spend time and money managing the server. The client was also able to leverage the flexibility of anywhere email access and the tools of Office 2013.
For each user, BitTitan’s MigrationWiz moved all emails, contacts, distribution groups, calendars, etc. DMC created custom advanced communication letters and instructions to install the new O365 profile for each Outlook user.
One unexpected challenge we encountered during the migration was a corrupt DNS server. This resulted in users being unable to access Office 365 resources internally. After consulting with the client’s managed IT service provider, it was decided that the Exchange auto discover record would be refreshed and pushed out to global DNS after normal hours. This successfully resolved the issue during the planned cutover period.
The success of the project led to continued work with the client.
