Based in DMC's Seattle office, Phil is an automation engineer with years of experience with both machine and process control. He has spent significant time with many industries: biomedical, additive manufacturing, paper and pulp (to name a few). Most of his automation experience is centered in the Siemens and Allen Bradley platforms with a focus on advanced motion control. He is also a Certified Machine Safety Expert through TUV NORD and a member of DMC’s Safety Committee.
Recently, substantial time has been invested in improving his capabilities with text based application development. He’s been involved in various projects including firmware programming for embedded systems, local applications for serial communication to nearby devices, and web applications for secure user management.
In his free time, Phil likes to continue solving problems by learning new programming languages or debugging his homemade CNC router.
