Owen is a member of DMC’s Automation team in Chicago. He specializes in Beckhoff TwinCAT HMI, PLC, motion, and safety systems and has additional experience with Rockwell PLCs and Ignition. As a technical lead on Beckhoff projects, Owen enjoys solving complex programming challenges, designing intuitive interfaces, and mentoring team members working with these technologies.
His project experience includes programming and commissioning an automated order fulfillment machine that significantly increased production throughput, as well as automating an aerospace paint line to improve throughput and reduce employees’ exposure to hazardous materials.
Owen graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. Outside of work, he enjoys photography with vintage lenses, 3D printing, and traveling to see total solar eclipses.
