Ashley received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and went on to attend Stanford University where she enjoyed solving problems and building robots. She graduated from Stanford with an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, gaining breadth in Mechatronics and a focus in Heat Transfer. Ashley managed an active Stanford Geophysics research laboratory where she was the sole mechanical, electrical and software engineer for numerous scientists. Projects included developing custom sensors, interfacing with NI hardware and writing LabVIEW software. Ashley is a Certified LabVIEW Architect. After hours, when not feverishly programming AVR microcontrollers, she can be found sewing EL wire into hats or rocking out on the tuba.
