A Senior Director on DMC’s Automation team, Ryan joined the company in 2014 and is based in Tampa, Florida. He leads teams in Florida and Dallas and oversees DMC’s travel specialist groups, supporting automation projects across a wide range of locations and industries.
Throughout his time at DMC, he has played a key role in office expansion efforts, contributing to early development in Boston and Houston before leading the establishment of the Dallas and Tampa offices. His early experience as a controls engineer at General Motors built a strong technical foundation that continues to inform his approach to automation and project execution. Years spent playing football as a quarterback shaped his leadership style, emphasizing adaptability, collaboration, and the ability to bring out the best in a team. He has contributed to projects across multiple industries, including food and beverage manufacturing, aerospace, and process automation, with experience ranging from large-scale production systems to international implementations, including the first automated batch processing facility in Kenya.
Ryan holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where he graduated at the top of his class, and contributes to internal initiatives including LIFT (DMC’s Leadership Training Program), efforts to expand DMC’s service contract offerings to support active production systems, and role specialization initiatives that align team members with their strengths across project management, business development, and travel-focused roles.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, basketball, yoga, scuba diving, traveling, swimming, watching sports, and learning new languages.
