Austin is a member of DMC’s Automation team in Raleigh. He holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Austin has experience developing and supporting automated systems, with expertise in LabVIEW FPGA programming, PLC development, HMI design, and system testing and troubleshooting. He’s worked with Siemens TIA Portal to improve production processes through PLC logic and HMI enhancements and has developed advanced control and data acquisition systems using FPGA-based hardware. As part of a graduate research project sponsored by Aramco, he designed a high-speed engine control platform that enabled real-time control and data collection for optical engine research.
Outside of work, Austin enjoys camping, hiking, and woodworking, including building boxes, cutting boards, and functional home decor.
