OMAC PackML Programming Integration
The Organization for Machine Automation and Control (OMAC) created PackML, or packaging machine language, as a programming standard meant to be a template for discrete manufacturing in the creation of products in many industries like Agriculture and Food & Beverage. It is defined by industry standard ISA TR88 and used whenever a client wants a well-programmed machine with a standard interface.
As a certified Siemens Solution Partner, our expert team of engineers has access to advanced training and to Siemens' Consumer Packaged Goods Library, known as CPG, and we are ready to consult on any system. DMC has completed a multitude of projects using the PackML framework. The PackML framework can be implemented on many different systems including Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, & B&R.
PackML allows for a common software design methodology between machines for easy standardization throughout the facility. It also includes a standardized interface for upstream and downstream communication, as well as providing an easy interface for a SCADA or MES system.
