Holiday Cheer at DMC

Holiday Cheer at DMC

DMC hosted a Holiday Cheer Event on Friday, December 13th for DMC employees and their families. Our official Holiday Party is a formal adult-only event that is typically held in January when everyone’s calendar opens up. The Holiday Cheer Event was a casual get-together for all ages and included lots of holiday-themed activities.

We started by making holiday puppets out of pipe cleaners, felt, and googly eyes!  Then the kids had a chance to let out their energy during the Candy Cane Hunt as they searched for over 100 candy canes hidden throughout the office.  Guests were also able to decorate holiday gingerbread cookies with candied dots, fondant, icing, and sprinkles.

There was a special guest appearance from Santa Claus himself who visited all the way from the North Pole.  Santa brought treats for all the little guests, and families were able to cross off getting their pictures taken with Santa from their holiday lists.

Santa even had enough time to join in on some of the holiday activities, until the reindeer insisted that he get back to making presents.

The highlight of the night was a friendly white elephant gift exchange. The hottest gift of the night was the table-top foosball table, followed closely by a portable table tennis set and some seriously cool Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pencil tops.  There were some clear duds as well with a hand warmer set (perhaps for kids - we never quite figured it out) and a breadboard that our Director of Consulting, Rick Rietz, ecstatically took home after it was explained to him what a breadboard actually is.

At the end of the night, my children went home with a new grumpy cat calendar and had an amazing time with all the other children at another DMC event. They are already asking about the next event!
