Moisture-Sensing Automatic Garden Watering System
Ashley Enderlin, Ryan Taylor and I developed an automatic moisture-sensing garden watering system for DMC's rooftop garden on FedEx Day this year.
This solar powered watering system constantly monitors the moisture content of the soil and uses that information to provide the plants with an optimal environment to grow in without wasting any water. We hoped that our innovation to the watering system would help to keep the herbs, tomatoes, and other plants alive and thriving all season.
Our next project is to broadcast the data retrieved from the system across the Mesh Network that Tim Jager worked on during for his FedEx Day project.
