DMC Named an SI Giant of 2014 by Control Engineering

DMC was recently recognized in the August 2014 issue of Control Engineering as one of 100 System Integrator Giants. The SI Giants 2014 are a part of a larger catalogue of SIs catalogued by both Control Engineering and Plant Engineering, which they dubbed the NEW Global System Integrator Database. The CFE Media’s Global System Integrator Database was compiled based on geography, industry, engineering experience, vendor experience, professional affiliation and annual revenue.

Bailey Rice, Director of Business and Market Development for CFE Media, calls the Giants, “the movers and shakers of the industrial automation industry” and recognizes the importance of diversity amongst the top 100 SIs. The goal in compiling this comprehensive list, Bailey notes, is to allow the “end-user manufacturer…[to] easily select the proper service provider for their specific application.”

The SI Giants of 2014 collectively comprise a “$396 million increase in the system integration revenue, a greater concern for the economy’s impact on the automation integrator market, and strong belief in educational and mentoring programs for employees.” Over 100 companies submitted their profile for participation in the SI Giants 2014, but the nomination process was selective, and not all companies made the list.

Top Industries served among the SI Giants are Food & Beverage, Chemical, Bottling, Energy and Water, all of which DMC work within. DMC also comprised a portion of the 43% of SIs who provide services in Europe. Our specialties lie within the top seven listed for the SI Giants, which are: programmable logic controllers, project management, process control, control design, general controls, general automation and human machine interfaces.

DMC is proud to be recognized by Control Engineering as one of the top System Integrators of 2014. Read the full print article or the official press release for more information regarding the database and its participants.
