'Lions, Tigers, and Brews' Proves Fun Despite Blustery Day

When the opportunity arose to go to the already-awesome Lincoln Park Zoo in order to taste 150 plus awesome beers, I knew many at DMC couldn’t resist. Sure enough, sixteen people from DMC signed up for the Lions, Tigers, and Brews event, so we headed down to the zoo for some Friday night fun.

First we tried out some of the bigger, more popular breweries such as Founders and Goose Island. We experienced these old familiars under the watchful eye of the tiger, who was outside watching the commotion despite the rain.

We then refueled on tamales from one of the many food trucks from around the city that were offering cuisine at the event. After a quick stop at the “make your own pretzel necklace station,” we headed off to find some of our favorite microbreweries such as Three-Floyds. This is where I found my personal favorite beer Alpha King.

With a consistent 50 degree temperature and vacillating rainfall, the weather was less-than-great, but nonetheless good times were had by all!
