DMC Denver Dines at The Lobby for Restaurant Week

DMC Denver Dines at The Lobby for Restaurant Week

DMC Denver celebrated our first Denver Restaurant Week this past Thursday at The Lobby. Best known for being the site of the former Paris Hotel Building and for its bottomless mimosa Sundays, The Lobby ended up serving a delectable dinner as well.

The Restaurant Week menu was a four course, build-it yourself meal that allowed for the vegetarians, carnivores and omnivores alike to be fully satisfied. And boy were we satisfied! In fact, we were probably a bit overly satisfied at the end of it all since most people left with lunch for the next day.

Some favorite dishes were the sweet potato fries with curry catsup, the Blue Balls – which were blue cheese fried appetizers, the Brussel sprout salad and of course dessert. Nearly everyone at the table went with the Lobby’s Kazooie: a home-baked chocolate chip cookie topped with either cherry bourbon or bacon ice cream. We imbibed numerous types of beers from IPAs to porters and wheat beers, but my favorite drink by far was the Whiskey Hickey – a whiskey drink with pureed orange and basil.

With the whole DMC Denver crew and a few plus ones, the night was full of conversation about biking, revelations about Brendan Frasier and the movie “Blast From the Past” and discussion about upcoming DMC Denver events.

It was definitely a successful Denver Restaurant week excursion and will surely be an annual DMC Denver event.
