DMC Again Named A Best Place to Work in Chicago

Crain’s Chicago Business Recognizes DMC as a Top Company for Millennials and Gen X Employees

DMC was named among the top Chicago companies to work for by Crain's Chicago Business for the second consecutive year. We're proud to be recognized again as one of the top places to work for both Millennials and Generation X.

DMC was named the "Best Workplace for Millennials" in Chicago, ranking #1 atop the list of five local firms. Crain's highlighted the social culture that's cultivated at DMC and the breadth of experience offered to millennial employees. “We expect a lot out of people here, and we want to be able to say that we treat them the way we expect them to perform,” DMC President, Frank Riordan told Crain's.

The vibrant energy and autonomy offered at DMC, along with career development opportunities and open communication with management, are featured among the qualities that draw Gen X employees to the company. DMC was listed third among Chicago's "Best Workplaces for Gen X," according to the survey. “I feel like I have the tools I need to carve my own path—whether that's my career development or on a day-to-day basis," said Project Manager, Nick Shea.

The recognition is based on a set of employee and employer surveys of 50+ full-time employees. Areas surveyed included questions regarding pay, promotions, health care and other benefits, hiring practices, relationships with management and co-workers, career development, and other day-to-day workplace issues. Over 16,000 employees in the Chicago area took the survey.

"It's an exciting distinction to be named among Chicago's top companies again," said Riordan. "We continually strive to be not only one of the best companies to work for, but also one of the best companies to work with."

Crain’s Chicago Business "Best Places to Work" issue was released on April 6, 2015.
