This April, I had the pleasure of presenting at the annual Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) Executive Conference. This was DMC's eighth consecutive year attending the conference, and the event took place just weeks after DMC passed its third CSIA audit. Held April 29 through May 2 in Washington, D.C., the conference provided a great setting for integrators to share best practices and connect with industry peers.
I was excited to lead an educational session on April 30 entitled "Democratizing Digital Marketing: Motivating and Managing Your Engineers to Create Web Content." The session covered some of the basics of content marketing and the importance of involving your engineers in your content creation as well as strategies for producing content that's consistent, easy for anyone in your company to generate, and authentic.
Between my work as DMC's Marketing Manager and the freelance writing I do in my free time, digital marketing and content creation are topics I live every day. It was a privilege to share DMC's marketing approach with the CSIA audience and a delight to engage in thoughtful discussions on the growing utilization of new media in the industry.
