DMC Presented at CSIA's 2016 Executive Conference
DMC attended the annual Control Systems Integrators Association (CSIA) Executive Conference for our ninth consecutive year this spring. We had an excellent time networking with peer integrators in beautiful Puerto Rico.
The Gran Melia Resort was a lovely setting for this year's conference. I enjoyed the sight of palm tress on my walk from one session to the next and strolling by the beach in the evenings.
This year, CSIA added a 5K Fun Run to the agenda. There was great participation in the run, and it was an energizing way to kick off several days of programming.
Another highlight of the trip for Anjali and I was the Women's Networking Breakfast. CSIA invited all women in system integration to attend this first annual breakfast. It was a great opportunity to connect with women in system integration around the globe. We developed a network of peers and shared best practices. Best of all, we got to celebrate women in business!
Frank participated in a panel discussion on employee hiring and retention. The panel discussed what some companies are doing to recruit younger engineers. They focused on long-term strategy, including marketing and branding your company for hiring, engagement, and alignment after hiring.
I led a panel with a range of Integrator marketing experts: Diane Trentini (Optimation), Steve Palmgren (Patti Engineering), Georgia Whalen (Rivergate Marketing), and Tony Veroeven (CSIA). We had more topics than could fit in one session! It's exciting that the enthusiasm for marketing among integrators continues to grow. We discussed strategies for kick starting your marketing efforts, our latest marketing updates, and how to leverage tools to upgrade your own digital strategy.
The CSIA Integrator Marketing Committee filmed a video series at the conference. Being the committee chair, I am proud of the participation we had for this video. Check out the video below.
DMC enjoys attending the CSIA conference each year and we are already looking forward to next year's event.
