Howdy, partners! We are very excited to announce that DMC Houston is officially up-and-running! In addition to opening an NYC location, DMC expanded to the Lone Star state this year to better serve our clients across the United States and throughout the world!
Our team arrived in late summer, and we've hit the ground running! Our office space is shaping up nicely, and we had our first Houston status update lunch on our brand-new lunch table.
We've attended career fairs at Texas A&M, UT Austin, and Rice University to recruit Texas' best and brightest. We also attended AWC's BestFest at St Arnold's brewery to network with local automation companies (and eat some downright excellent schnitzel!).
That's not to say we haven't had some challenges: Half of our team is named Ryan (and we sit next to each other!); the portions at Freebird's are too large to eat in one sitting; we just can't have barbecue for every meal; the Houston rodeo is so far away from now… But, as Camus put it, "There is scarcely any passion without struggle."
These challenges haven't dampened our spirits! We've already perfected our slices at Top Golf and enjoyed lingonberry jam and meatballs at Ikea. Ryan and I (the other Ryan) ran into each other at a patio in Midtown and couldn't resist posing for a photo. Peter and I saw The Revivalists in a warehouse concert venue and San Fermin in a quirky outdoor funhouse dedicated to oranges. And our list of fun ways to explore Houston (and Texas in general) keeps growing!
