Every month, DMC gathers for our Monthly Company Meeting. We listen to company updates, share knowledge, and celebrate successes. To close the meeting, each office creates a short presentation that covers what they've been up to recently.

Back in 2014 our Boston office got creative and also made a fun video to go along with their update. Now the office update video is part of DMC's culture and is my favorite part of the monthly meetings. The videos let us see the humor of the other DMC offices and allow us to feel more connected. This month was Chicago's turn for an office update.

Updating from Home

What kind of video could we make while we're not together? I think DMC's greatest strength next to expert technical solutions is our culture. It's in our core values: Have Fun! It is especially important during these uncertain times to stay connected and have a little fun. While DMC is working from home providing remote and onsite support, it made me wonder how my coworkers are putting these best practices into play.

During a virtual happy hour, we talked about how adjusting to working from home is going. From pets and kids crashing video conferences to creative workspaces, these stories seemed too good not to share. For our Chicago update video, we decided to take a humorous approach to our current time of social distancing with the hope of also kindling DMC's sense of community and connection to one another. 

Below is just the first of what I hope is a few installments of what a day in the life at DMC while working from home looks like.
