DMC Named #2 Best Place to Work in Chicago
DMC is proud to be named by Crain’s Chicago Business as #2 in a list of the Top 100 "Best Places to Work" in Chicago. Crain’s highlighted DMC’s commitment to empowering staff to continuously improve the company.
Partnering with Best Companies Group, Crain's surveyed 8,800 employees at Chicago-based companies to find the top places to work. Then, companies were segmented into a half-dozen key categories. The list of 100 finalists was announced in March, and the official rankings were announced at an event on April 12, 2018.
Employee Empowerment
Crain's noted DMC's emphasis on employee input and empowerment from the bottom up, citing employees' ability to self-direct internal initiatives, and share suggestions and concerns. According to Senior Project Engineer Alex Krejcie, the "feeling that the company cares about what we think and is willing to get everybody's opinions" is the top perk at DMC.
Evaluation Process
The Best Places to Work list seeks to highlight local businesses that have excelled in creating quality workplaces for employees. This year, Crain’s partnered with Best Companies Group to survey Chicago employees about everything from their workplace to benefits to company culture. Applying to the program is a two-step process evaluating company policies and soliciting employee feedback.

Repeat Recognition
DMC was first named to the Crain’s Top 10 “Best Places to Work” list in 2014 in addition to placing on the “Best Places for Millennials” and “Best Places for Gen-X” lists and topping the list of “Best Places for Employee Engagement.” In 2015, DMC was again named among the best workplaces for Millennials and Gen-X employees. In 2016, DMC was named as one of Chicago’s Top 10 “Best Places to Work”, and DMC was listed as the #4 Best Place to Work in Chicago in 2017.
Crain’s Chicago Business "Best Places to Work" issue will be released on April 16.
