DMC Boston Hosts Greater Boston LabVIEW User Group
On September 19th, 2019, DMC's Boston office hosted another local LabVIEW User Group. Like other user group meetings, it is open to all LabVIEW developers in the area. This user group meets regularly about every three months, and usually, DMC hosts at our office in Somerville, MA.
Meetings provide a platform for LabVIEW users to share information, discuss features, and network with one another. You can see upcoming meetings and topics here.
Did you miss our recent meeting? This blog contains a quick overview of the September meeting. The topics were:

NI Measurement Studio: LabVIEW DAQmx in Visual Studio .NET
Lillian Walker presented on using NI's Measurement Studio. Measurement Studio gives programmers the tools they need to leave the comfort of LabVIEW and venture into the wide, wide world of C# programming. This is great for projects where the strengths of LabVIEW's UI design and hardware control can be complemented with the flexibility and extensibility of Visual Studio.
Little LabVIEW Lectures: Community Supplied Tips & Tricks with Demos
Little LabVIEW Lectures are a new part of our user groups. They are chances for participants to share a project, concept, or topic that they would like to discuss with others. To start us off, DMC employee Ashley Enderlin shared a previous project with us where she utilized a daemon to handle TCP communication with a PLC.
A Taglist was used to establish the order of tags being sent back and forth. She showed us snippets of code, and the group discussed its use. Following Ashley, other attendees shared lessons learned and experiences had. It was a great way to learn from each other and share tips and tricks.
We hope to see you at our next user group meeting on Thursday, November 14, 2019, from 5:30-7:00 pm at our office in Somerville, MA!
