Beckhoff DMC Day

Beckhoff DMC Day

Beckhoff and DMC recently held a joint Beckhoff technology event at several simultaneous locations across the country. The event was a great opportunity for Beckhoff and DMC, a member of the Beckhoff Integrator Group, to further strengthen their relationship.

Members from both organizations gathered at Beckhoff sites in Denver and Houston, and at DMC offices in BostonChicago, and Dallas to network and discuss the latest developments in Beckhoff technology. The Beckhoff team put together some great content, including some hands-on technology training activities.

Speakers from Beckhoff included Daymon Thompson - Director of Product Management, Casey Taylor- Software Product Manager, Jeff Johnson - Mechatronics Product Manager, and Peter Swift- Mechatronics Senior Project Engineer.

The event gave DMC a front row seat to the latest developments in Beckhoff hardware and software, including XTS and XPlanar technologies. Attendees enjoyed several hands-on XTS training sessions and Q&A opportunities with Beckhoff experts.

Carl Remler, Senior Project Engineer at DMC, was especially excited to learn about upcoming features such as TcPKG package manager, Doxygen-style generation of HTML help pages, and a new HMI widget for EtherCAT network diagnostics.

Kevin Stanzinewski, Systems Engineer at DMC, looks forward to dark mode and support for redundant controllers in the next TwinCAT release and future projects involving XTS and XPlanar. He states, "XTS and XPlanar are awesome new technologies based on their modularity, flexibility, precision, and speed."

It was also an opportunity to facilitate introductions of a couple of new faces in both of these growing organizations."
