DMC recently returned to PCC Oktoberfest, the annual industrial automation conference hosted by Siemens and PCC. This conference features educational seminars and an expansive expo where attendees can network and demo the latest in industrial automation tech.
This year, DMC engineer Aaron Shoemaker shared his PackML expertise, and our Siemens-powered Drinkbot returned to serve drinks for conference attendees.
Unpacking PackML: More Than Just Packaging Machines
DMC has had great success in applying PackML standards to a number of Siemens automation solutions. Aaron shared some of the expertise we've developed for unlocking the full potential of this powerful tool in a seminar titled "Unpacking PackML: More Than Just Packaging Machines."
PackML provides a common framework and guidelines for programming and controlling packaging machinery, aiming to increase efficiency, interoperability, and consistency in operations.

Drinkbot Returns
This year, conference participants once again enjoyed watching Drinkbot mix a variety of beverages at their request. DMC created Drinkbot on FedEx Day using a Siemens S7 PLC.
Aaron said, "as always, DrinkBot was a huge hit!"
As long time Siemens Solution Partners, PCC Oktoberfest is always a great opportunity to connect with partners, learn, and share insight about Siemens technology.
